Consumer Reports no longer recommends Dyson stick vacs

I own a Dyson V8 and like it for its intended purpose. To me, it's perfect for mid-week cleanings of the floors and sofas. It's no replacement for a corded vac so I still use my central vac at least once a week to deep clean the rugs. If I were on a budget I certainly wouldn't pay that much for a cordless machine but it does better than any other cordless I've owned.

I bet if I hooked my Central Vac's hose up to a dyson's hose, and had a face off, I think I could empty the dyson canister... LOL.

If they weren't priced like Apple stuff, It'd be OK.

Apple and Dyson

I'm actually a fan of Apple products, all of my computers are mac and I use an iphone but that's personal preference. I would not want a windows computer because of all of the issues Windows has, but I think Android is a good platform. I would never have a Dyson vacuum though, overpriced and bad quality. Also, the only bagless vacs I have are water based, any other bagless machine requires too much work to maintain. Also a cordless vacuum is not as powerful as one with a cord, there's no getting around it. I'm also a big fan of central vacuums, I have 8 power units around my apartment and I use them without pipes, very powerful.
