Could be.....

to accomodate the new style attachment carrier, which is gone on the listed one above, also thought it might have aided in pulling it around, just my opinion. I think that may have been the last of the production of the original connies, but something tells me the last two were run simultaneously.
 
No. It tilted for the tool caddy to be

more accessible. It was on the yellow and brown one, and a fawn or pink color one. It was more of a pink, actually. It didn't aid or hamper the performance or manuverability of the cleaner. Sometimes, they would fall down. It was very handy, gowever. I THINK they were the only 2 models with the caddy, but, i may be wrong. I've only seen these two.
 
There were three models to have the caddy.. ((in additon to the two that John mentioned -- the model 88 (top right -- fawn colored) and the tilted 843 (second from the right on the second shelf of Constellations)) the Model 434 also had a caddy, it's 'canton red' and matches the lower portion of the cleaner (second in from the left on the second shelf of Constellations).
