Considering

sending in my G4 and G5 for a factory rebuild, but is it worth it? I know I'll need to keep some NOS parts on hand to make the rebuild original like on the older machines that'd i'd send in too.

If you have the money and if I was the original owner of a Kirby I would let Kirby Co. perform the rebuild service.

first id take off the outer parts so that way it can stay oraganal ie: belt lifter, real wheels excedra email me and i can tell you how to remove the belt lifter, best of luck to you.
