Hey all!

I tested all of my new-to-me Elux a bit earlier today: amperage, quality of suction, noise after cut-off, cord rewinding, etc, and also inspected bodies for cracks.

I'm a little bit confused with the AP-100s because the specs aren't the same inside all covers. Some show 5 amps and other 7.25 amps. I assume they all have the same motor so what does that mean?

Here is the way it shows on two different AP-100 (see pictures).

It seems it is just two different ways to say the same thing, 5.0 amps without power nozzle, and 7.25 amps with it.

Doug confirmed the specs are 5.0 amps with the AP-200 and they share the same motor with the AP-100.

Earlier models (E-2000, Ambassador) show both specs, so it is easier to make sure what we're talking about.

THe answer was in the cover of one of my AP-200 and I haven't seen it until this morning (see picture).

Otherwise, I swapped two AP-100 casings yesterday evening, one showed multiple cracks, but the motor in the can was good, and I had a good sapre casing but with a broken handle.

Now I have a pretty decent AP-100, clean and working well. Last step will be to solder a good 2-pin plug on the cord.

Is that possible to fit a 7.5 or 8.0 amps in an AP-100 can ? I ask the question, because one of my AP-100 tests at 8.2 amps, what wouldn't make sense with a regular 5.0 amps motor.

This vac sucks very strong, no surprise !
