Another member recently posted that when he inquired of an Aerus rep if Aerus products were made at the Bristol factory, the individual responded, "Oh yes."

Here is the thread: https://vacuumland.org/threads/confirmed-that-aerus-still-builds-vacuums-in-bristol-virginia.47082/

"Made" is unclear, so I called the Aerus corporate offices of AP Sciences Group, the parent company of Aerus Lux and ActivePure Technologies products. In my question I made the distinction of producing and assembling parts and was told by Haley, the representative, that AERUS LUX PRODUCTS ARE ONLY ASSEMBLED AT BRISTOL; just as the following evidence suggests:

1. The 2003 news release that the Bristol factory was closing.
2. Cleaners since then exclude "Manufactured By" before the Aerus Lux brand on their ratings panels.
3. The main company website lacks any statements or photos involving production of Aerus Lux (or ActivePure Technologies) parts.
4. An Aerus Lux dealer, a friend of the poster of the other thread, recently visited the factory and only saw the assembling of parts.
5. No news releases have been located that state the resuming of production at the Bristol facility since 2003 (it is irrational that the closing would make the news, but resuming production would avoid publicity).

I kept from asking where the Aerus parts are made; so that may either be within or outside the United States. Also, I avoided questioning whether AP Sciences Group manufactures ActivePure Technologies parts or outsources them also.

The information provided by Haley, the corporate rep, is not meant to disparage the company or discourage the purchase of Aerus Lux products; nor is it meant to ridicule the Aerus enthusiast who initiated the other thread or anyone else. It is only meant to reveal truth and transparency, to which customers and potential customers are entitled.

This topic has been discussed over the last years in different threads by various members with no definitive answer, so this thread brings to conclusion all the opposing speculation and claims.
