I just found a Hoover Concept Two Electronic in a local thrift shop. It came complete with the hand vac and hand vac tools, and seems to be in fairly decent shape. The hand vac runs, but doesn't sound too healthy, while the upright is OK.

Given the electronic speed control (five on the floor!), I'm assuming this was a top-of-the-line model, yes? I'm just wondering when it was made, and how it compared to the Concept One. I always thought the Two didn't sell nearly as well as the One -- a question of price, maybe?

As always, any info is appreciated.

colors?? Model ??

The first Concept II's came out in 1983, and were made til 1992 when the Concept line was replaced with the PowerMax line.
Concept II's were $75-100 more than the top model Concept One.

cleaning tool compatibility

hello I am a new member here and enjoy your site very much. My question is I also have a concept II electronic and the hand vac isn't too healthy. I was wondering if a tool kit for a concept I could be used as they basically look like the same machine with just a few enhancements.I found mine in the trash with a completely burned out cord and terminal plate. 11 bucks and 15 min later it rus like new and sucks up anything off of any floor I use it on. It works much better than any other upright on my tile floors and doesn't kick the dirt back at my feet, like most uprights do.Nothing like finding a treasure for free!!
