It is

An Eureka.  Very good power nozzle, this is the same one that Rainbow, Fairfax and many others used.

Mine is equipped with the distribulator, does a very good job on carpets.

Thanks...

for the information, Harley. I appreciate the reply.

Does anyone have any parts to this PN? Not sure yet, because I don't have it right now, but there is a missing tab that either belongs to the base plate or the back of the top unit...where they meet.

it is a eureka power head

Okay, I got it.....

today, everything looks good. The problem was the metal flat spring that serves also as "tab" to snap the base place on, was bent. I ended up dremeling the rivet off, straightening out the spring and re-riviting it back in place. Needs a good cleaning and should look great.

Now, here is what it came with: a Filter Queen Model 31. They had the regular hose, wands, attachments, cones, filters, scent felts, scent tablets, manual and extra instructions, but not the correct PN. Instead, someone had rigged a Compact PN, wands, cord, chrome cord clips onto a FQ hose end. Works but is not correct.

So, I would like to trade for the correct PN so this will be complete. I have not checked out the base unit yet, but I already see I need to replace one short wand seal. I imagine I will need a new baffle ring as well.

If you have the correct PN and want this Compact re-badged/Eureka clone, let me know [email protected]

Thanks.

Non-compatibe hose systems between Compact and FQ!

I'm confused, didn't the complete Compact that you have pictured come together as a set? The power head pictured is a match for the suction unit you have pictured!! I've seen and used that model before at a Vacuum Collectors meet. Filter Queen has a very different wand system from the Eureka style units.

For Eureka, Compact, Kenmore and many others, the spring button on the hose is larger and the hose fits inside the tools or wands, thereby being a "Male End" Fitting.

On Filter Queen, the button on the tools is fixed. The tools and wands fit inside the hose handle. The hose handle has a tool release button built into the end of the rubber covering that fits over the tools and wands. The Filter Queen is a "Female End" fitting. Even after the Filter Queen hose, attachment and power nozzle change over in 2003 they are still a "Female End" fitting on their hose systems.

I was under the assumption that the picture you posted up top was the unit you had in reference. But you say somehow someone rigged the power head to work?? Would be interesting to see a picture of all that!!

Sorry for the confusion....

The picture of the Compact Vacuum was taken from online. It was meant to show the style of Power Nozzle that I received with the Filter Queen I acquired this week.

I do not have the Compact Vacuum, just the a Compact rebadged Eureka. So I was trying to find out about that style of PN.

Now that it has been identified as a Eureka clone, I was wanting to trade it for a Filter Queen PN that goes with Model 31.

What I failed to do is take pictures. Now attached. It has not been cleaned.

Again, thanks to those who responded. I appreciate that.

Power Nozzle on it's way...

So the Compact is on sale, with wands, hose, cord, plastic channels and metal snap cord to wand clips. It is missing the proper Compact machine hose end.

Will be posted in the Marketplace.

Practically new condition..

Filter Queen Power Nozzle came in the mail today. Great price. Only thing is, it is not the correct one for my Model 31.

Does anyone have the Model 31 PN, Electric hose, Wand w/pigtail cord they would trade for the Compact(Eureka)Power Nozzle, hose w/cord?

Please let me know at: [email protected]

Thanks and HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!
