Hey everyone,

I have a Compact C6 that was new out of the box when I got it, but I noticed the other day that there was a light blue flickering light coming from the blower port. I know that some motors glow when they get hot or turn on (my Hoover Elite motor used to turn orange after a couple of minutes of running), but I was wondering if this blue flickering is normal? Please any help would be much appreciated. I don't know anything about motors really. Is the vacuum safe to use? It doesn't have more than a year or two of use.

Thanks for everything,

Alex

the same thing happend to my model c4. i took the motor out and turned it on and pressed a commutator stone against the commutator. it works now with no blue sparks. but i still need atachments and hose for it

thats the problem with these vintage nib machines. the carbon brushes stick from not beinbg used for soooo many years. Try taking them out and move them in and out a few times (they are on a spring) reinstall them
