Compact C1 for sale

I saw that on eBay yesterday. Noticed you rebuilt the motor too. Those are super rare and cool. Surprised you are selling it. I would be on that like a duck on a Junebug but I already have one with a freshened up motor, scrubbed within an inch of its life and a fresh NOS period correct cord.

Here's an image of mine. Don't know what your collecting goals are, I'm kind of a Compact/Tristar and their derivatives nutcase, but that is a vacuum I would cherish and proudly display.

Not my thing.

Machines of this vintage really just aren't my thing. I picked it up with the intent of just re-homing it to another collector and only did the restoration so I could measure it before I sold it.

I see. This is like with cats where you find a stray and foster it until you can find a good forever home. If it doesn't sell let me know. I'm a sucker for all things Compact and Tristar, lol. Hopeless that way.

Well when talking to the seller about it's condition and hearing the roughness of the motor I had a feeling if I didn't take it it was going to end up in the trash. Initially I was just going to give it away, as is, for the cost of packing and shipping it.
Then on the way home I was like why not refurbish it and test it's power, it's a rarity to have such and old machine and I'd like to see what it's capable of. Once that was all said and done it's like well I'd like to get my costs back, at least, so I figured throw it on ebay with a low starting price, and it gets what it gets. It's at $30 currently and if that's all it sells for I'd be satisfied.
