Compact C-4 / C-5 Bags & Filters

I was looking at getting some new bags for my compacts, will the cloth filter bags and paper bags made for tristar machines (such as those found on eBay, etc) fit the older models? They appear to be the same size, but wanted to check with the experts before buying.

As far as the motor filter goes, are new ones available or is there a way to clean them? It's the type that looks like some sort of filter material between 2 layers of wire mesh and held together by an aqua colored aluminum band.

I know that the TriStar cloth and paper bags will fit the older Compact models.

The new motor filters most of the time will fit the older models as well.

There are some plastic motor filters that have splines on the inside that when you put them on they break.
