Wow, how great !!!!!
Wow it is cool to see another one like mine. You have the hose which is great never saw that before. I believe mine was probably built for Canada, althought I got it in Nebraska, due to the handle having an sticker on it saying Recommended by the Good Housekeeping of Great Britian, I believe my memory is not what it used to be, so I could be wrong. The only difference between this one and mine is mine has be funky looking bag on it which may have been replaced. a black cord, and mine has a leadlight, just above the Colombus emblem in the chrome top, there is a hole for headlight, so of course when I took it apart to clean it I replaced it and put a new one into light up. Although I only have one pic of mine with me taken in 1996 at Tom Gasko's home for VCCC convention going to try to down load it so we will see. That was our first, I believe competition, and of course my Columbus won for straight suction. And it still has its ribbon on it to this very day. I was so proud of that.
Is yours also a two speed? I have also seen and tried the buffing head, like Charles Richard had mentioned. You know how it comes apart the bottom comes off and put the buffing head on..it looks like a regular floor polisher. I believe Jimmy Martin had it not sure if he still does, he let me borrow the buffing head to try it out. Since my machine is in the museum I can not take a close up pic to show you but I will have to ask Tom if he would for me, so you can see mine.
I did this for your sake Ben E.so we would not take away from your Kirby 515 Thread. I was being respectful for your sake.
