My wifes original Kirby G5 I have cleaned and polished after 20 years (long overdue)
however to finish the clean up I will clean the `plastic` accessories not that they have been used much but after 20 years it wont do any harm.

My question is has anyone ever stuck them in a dishwasher and do them en masse, or would that do some damage to them, just being lazy and thought it may be an option.
I wouldnt put the extension hose in though.

Hey

Been there done that it doesn't clean just leaves milky white hard to clean off residue.
Get a bucket of water or even sink dish soap clean initially empty water soak again scrub and rinse off. Use green scrub pad to get off paint and dry with towel if you want some shine use interior car cleaner.
The pic is de solve it is like goo gone removed stickies, the other I use it works well meguaires has a black spray bottle with purple lettering it's for interior it cleans it up. If you have any marker or pen 90 percent alcohol comes right off.
Dish washer basically ruins them and it could melt them too.
The methods work soaking do at least a half a day no more than a day. Get a men's black comb clean any bristles or horse hair.
Use a wet green scrubby cleans cords well especially paint.
