Hello, i've purchased a Hoover Convertible Model 70, and was wanting to know how would i go about cleaning the outer bag? Its a bit dusty. I bought it off of Ebay and it seems to be in fairly good condition. just needs cleaning, but was wanting to clean the blue outer bag. Any suggestions??

We need some more headlights working in the bottom picture!! If its a cloth bag, I'd separate from the tube and put it in the washing machine on delicate cycle with like colors of course! Shout or Spray n Wash stains.

If its vinyl, I would just soak it in laundry tub. Laundry detergent, some Lysol, whatever. I recently bleached a vinyl Eureka F&G bag. It was primarily white but does have pink and blue stripes and the Black ink F&G label, all of the colors survived well, but the dirt and stains are gone!! Rinse thoroughly then hang dry for a few days, depending on your weather, you could put it out in the warm sun!

I recently cleaned mine.

I used a sink sprayer with warm water and Greased Lightning. I wore nitrile gloves and payed close attention to spraying the cleaner into the layered pockets of clear vinyl at the bottom and kept it away from any lettering on the outside and flushed it with the warm water spray immediately after to protect the bag. All the grime washed out and the odor was gone. I did this process a couple times on the bag with great results. Aim the sprayer into the corners and the dirt will dislodge. Good luck.
