Hi, I was thinking back about what vacuums were on what tv shows I loved, and remembered a few...The Partridge Family (two vacuums, one, Hoover Convertible 719, and a Regina upright with a Houndstooth bag), The Jeffersons (Hoover Elite Convertible), The Brady Bunch (Hoover Model 1070), Lidsville (a flying Hoover Convertible 1070), Bewitched, I Dream of Jeannie, The Dick Van Dyke Show, and That Girl all have Hoover DAM. I remember some others, but that's a few...Can anyone think of any others from their favorite shows? Ron :)

I also remember seeing Alice use an Electrolux Model E on the Brady Bunch. On the Dick Van Dyke Show, there's one scene where Rob is vacuuming with a Hoover Convertible after Richie tracks mud into the house. I also remember Hazel using a Royal upright.

General Electric on "Leave It To Beaver"

I don't know when, but maybe the season that the Cleavers moved into the really nice house, (1959) General Electric showed up in the kitchen, the hi-fi in about 1960, and the Swivel-Top right around then. My current avatar has their stereo console!

good trivia question!

I remember a GE rolleasy on Father Knows Best, Hazel using a Lux XXX camonflaged inside a box to look like some kind of new space-age model, and Wilbur on Mr. Ed using an airway model with the 4 runners.

And then there are all the old movies...yikes, I could spend all day trying to remember these vacuum cameo appearances!

What was the movie with the butler cleaning the drapes using the dusting tools with a Hoover, something like a 700-ish model?

There was also a fabulous scene on Andy Griffith where Aunt Bea carried a model 85 Constellation out of the room.. it was a color episode, so you could see the beautiful pink and white Constellation briefly..

In an early "That Girl" she used a Hoover Convertible. Seems to me it was a 69. This might have been the same one that Aunt Bee and Dick Van Dyke used as they were filmed at the same studio. On the Brady Bunch, wasn't it a 1020?
