classic 1cr and classic III Kirby from Kirby

So I ordered some parts for my new g5 from Kirby Kuilsriver here in Cape Town. After the delivery person saw my vintage Kirby display at my showroom I got a call from the owner who asked if I was the guy in the magazine with all the vacuums ( a spin off from the national Geographic clash of the collectors thing) 


He asked me to come and see him and today i headed out and was given these. 


 


I was given these two lovely machines. 


a Classic 1cr and a Classic III


Up until a few months ago I had never in all my years repairing vacuums seen a Kirby Classic III Now I own two. 


The Classic 1cr was one of my next Kirby's I was after. 


 


Well tomorrow is a Holiday here so I guess I will be spending some time in my home workshop making shiny.


 


I am really chuffed about these.

Congratulations on getting your second Classic III! This one you found is more original than the first one, with its original pointed handle grip.

I need to get a handle for my other Classic III and both need new belt lifters. Any one have these ??
