This is an absolutely fabulous thing. Aside from being beautiful, it's very rare. I'm rather surprised the bidding was not a lot hotter on it. I've only seen one other one in my entire life!

Yes, even as a kid I thot the motor hood looked like a robot and from the front view was scary and evil looking! I'll post a photo from that angle later. That style did not change, other than minor details, from the first model introduced in 1957 until they "went plastic" when the plastic tank machine also came out.

It says "Electrolux Achievement Award" on a piece screwed to the front. I noticed that yesterday, I'm sure it didn't escape other people's notice either.

The B7 first came out in 1957, the first model was white and gray to match the current vacuum cleaner, the model F. Then when the G came out in 1960 the color scheme of the B7 was also updated to a beautiful creamy turquise. The next version was the B8, basically the same machine but with a folding chromed-tube handle.
