Christmas cleaning/decorating

Every Jan 2, that wonderful, but expensive

store has their 75% off sale. Joe Kassock and I went. It was madness!
But, I was able to pick up few items. I'll be glad next year when it all gets unpacked again.
Christmas isn't officially over until next week. And, I'll entertain 2 groups of friends before it all goes away.
Still lots to do.

get that wallpaper on those walls in the hallway. I have to get it up before the convention.

My aunt's things are coming down now.......

lights are unplugged outside. Thing have to stay up here at my place until the 2 dinners are over. I'll unplug the outside lights, though.

I guess it is time to put it all away

The people I was inviting this Sun p.m. invited ME this Fri. So, I think I'll do my entertaining with a "Valentine" theme this year. Garlands are going in these large storage bags (look like body bags).
I hate putting it all away............. but... we must.

This year, I put candles in all of the front windows,

including the attic. From across the street, it looked 'beautiful', I must say.
I used the bulbs with the silicone tips. One of the tips 'might have been chewed off', by a little brown kitty. hmmmmmmmmmmmm He loves to sit in that window and look out. (cat TV)

Well,

the disassembly has begun. I hate this part. But, as soon as it all comes down, I'll shift into high gear to prepare the place for the Scranton convention. I've made a list..... a very long list.

The place looks like a bomb went off

in here. I hate this part. But, that's part of the deal, I suppose.

Snow say today !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It rained all day yesterday, ice and sleet today. They cancelled school last night.
So, the tree came down today. Hoovers are running like crazy today. Belts were broken in 2 of them. Luckily, a 3rd was very handy, to finish the job.

Of course, after all the boxes were packed, I found another ornament. Don't you hate that?
86 branches, 10' tree, plus the 97 branch, 6' aluminum are away until next year.

Finding another ornament

Lol , I find one I left out by accident almost every year. I end up fing a place for it and leave it out all year. Gives me a tiny bit of Christmas all year

The sad thing is

that I put those 'stray' ones in 'safe places', and sometimes forget about them at Christmas. I just found (2) boxes of (2) new ornaments PLUS 2 loose ones that came off the tree. I hate that.
The kitties were in heaven with all of those boxes again. I have to make sure I see both cats when I close the boxes.
