and, the "peppermint" tree is up, soon to be deecora

I bought a new tree for the peppermint theme last Jan. Also, I FOUND the tree ((packed soooo carefully),that will be the "bubble lights" tree. There are beautiful ornaments from deceased friends and relatives. Should be interesting with Murphy and Harold (my 2 kitties). Murphy loves to sleep under the 10', while Harold loves to play in the boxes. hmmmmm

John came for a little

Christmas visit tonight. We had pizza with my dad, who always enjoys John's company.
John brought a sample of his 40 dozen cookies: cutouts, gingerbread, and what Christmas could be complete without John's delicious moist pepper cookies? John appreciates all of my vintage Christmas decorations that date back to my grandparents.

Every Jan 2, that wonderful, but expensive

store has their 75% off sale. Joe Kassock and I went. It was madness!
But, I was able to pick up few items. I'll be glad next year when it all gets unpacked again.
Christmas isn't officially over until next week. And, I'll entertain 2 groups of friends before it all goes away.
Still lots to do.

Snow say today !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It rained all day yesterday, ice and sleet today. They cancelled school last night.
So, the tree came down today. Hoovers are running like crazy today. Belts were broken in 2 of them. Luckily, a 3rd was very handy, to finish the job.

Of course, after all the boxes were packed, I found another ornament. Don't you hate that?
86 branches, 10' tree, plus the 97 branch, 6' aluminum are away until next year.

Finding another ornament

Lol , I find one I left out by accident almost every year. I end up fing a place for it and leave it out all year. Gives me a tiny bit of Christmas all year
