Central Vac Powerhead

Hi All,
I was wondering what you all thought would be the best central vac powerhead for my new house? There will be wood floors (which I know I'll clean with a bare floor tool) with area rugs and the upstairs will have wall-to-wall frieze in the bedrooms. In my current house, I use a Miele canister with the SEB 236 powerhead. It does an outstanding job BUT it is heavy! Are there other powerheads that will groom the carpet just as nicely, if not better? Thanks so much!

I would go for a Wessel Work power nozzle. Although they are not the lightest, they clean very well. I have one on my Oreck Dutch Tech and it is easily the best power nozzle in my collection. It has rubber wheels so you could even use it on your bare floors if you choose. It also has LED lights and it is very quiet. Hope this helps.

Other than a Miele....

Look at the Sebo Vacuum powerheads. They are lighter than the Miele's 236 and they groom very well. You would have to buy a Sebo or Central Vacuum to use their powerheads. Sebo US has a large selection of power nozzles.

Your SEB236 power nozzle is made for Miele by Wessel Werks and you can buy almost the exact same nozzle for a central vacuum system. There are two different W-W nozzles to choose from the older EBK340, and the newest nozzle the EBK360, which is almost the same as the Miele SEB228.

I've heard some great things about the SEBO power nozzles but having previously owned a Miele SEB236, I would buy the EBK360 without ever thinking twice about it. It maybe a heavy PN but it cleans very well and I think its worth every penny.

Thank you so much for the responses guys! My main requirements are that the carpets look well-groomed (I'm a sucker for lines) and that there is a quick-release. I think the nozzle will only be used on one level because the CVS will come with an attachment kit I will keep on the main floor. Although, God only knows what power nozzle the builder's Dirt Devil budget brand will be I didn't know Sebo's had a reputation for grooming rugs so well. My parents have a Sebo X-something...it's red....it never seems to touch their carpets low enough due to the sensor. Thanks again!

I have a Simplicity Power Nozzle from a model S36 canister on my VacuFlo model 760 central vacuum. It grooms all of my carpets perfectly.
