Cat marking my front door

So every morning now for 3 days front door and screen door pissed on and smelling to high heaven, never mind what its doing to the finish on both.My neutered male cat sniffs and walks off. I have washed and sprayed frebreeze twice, today bleach. Other ideas? Serious pisser.

You might try this, or a similar product. Most pet stores carry some sort of "Kitty No" spray that discourages marking and clawing.

If you could catch the cat in the act enough times, a hearty blast of water from a spray bottle will eventually discourage it.

Thanks Charles, my mom wants to lay in wait and spray him with ammonia! I have a crazy cat lady lives behind me, 30+ ouside cats, so a few have not been neutered. Hate the noise and the smell.

Cats don't like vinegar, I'm told. I know they hate aluminum foil, too.

Cantilever baking sheets on the edge of the steps. The cat will step on them, they will tumble and clatter and he'll run away. John is right about foil. "Carpet" the area in front of the door with loosely rumpled tin foil. Both methods also work to train cats to stay off the cupboards. You could electrify the metal screen and Fritz his whizzer.

Wow! If I had a errant leaf on my doorstep landlady would crap her pants, she is as fussy as I am. Everything has to look the same, ect.I will check out the sprays from the pet store, though I suspect Max will not be happy smelling when I open the door.
