Hi there,

As an avid Car Boot Fan over the years I have seen many different types of Vacuum Cleaners on peoples stalls but have never bought one - until last Sunday!

When I was at Chirk someone was Selling a used Dyson DC04 with a carrier bag hanging off the side (tools were in here) & there was a piece of card saying 'DYSON SPARES £1'. When I walked past I assumed they were selling the actual cleaner separately & the carrier bag with tools in was £1, but I asked & they said the whole lot was £1! (They obviously thought it didn't work) but after buying & taking it to the car I realised the airway bits on the side were off & the brushroll, base plate & bottom suction channel were missing from the machine. However, lucky for me, a quick root in the carrier bag found all the missing bits!

So, after an uncomfortable ride home, I plugged it in & it worked! But it was very dirty & needed a good scrub.

I washed the dust bin & the yellow bit in the middle, gave the cyclone a scrubbing on the outside & washed the filters. I then put the belt over the brushroll, attached the suction channels, & put on the base plate.

I then tested it & watched how amazing it was to see this little ball of dust in the bin, swirling around & each time you saw it it got bigger!

I am going to put in on eBay soon though after I give it a REAL good clean.

Also I bought a Bissell Aroma Pro for £20

THANKS FOR ANY REPLIES!!!

The DC04's good, but the brushroll isn't very good, to pick up bits of fluff you have to go really slowly across the carpet. Good how you can switch it off completely though.

I'm selling it soon so not spnding money on it, all people want is a vacuum that sucks dust up & thats it. Thts what this offers
