Canadian model 858 Constellation?

Glad to find this forum! Anyway I just got a Hoover Constellation with a light green top and tan-ish lower dome, and reading on this forum made me believe it may be Canadian from roughly 1974. Any answers or leads would be appreciated. I’m hoping that it is rare enough that someone might trade it for a blue and tan one.... I have cleaned it a lot since the photos were taken, and it looks pretty good but there a flaws and scratches.

The Canadian model you're thinking of I believe is 888, it had lime green upper and lower dome with with white base ring.

This isn't a Canadian model but it appears to be fairly uncommon, as most model 858 Constellations were the pumpkin color, followed by poppy red in 1974, which is less common.

There are some of this green model around, but it seems to be less common than the other two colors. It doesn't appear to be in any timelines on the forum, and nobody really seems to know anything about it that I've seen, although it has been discussed a few times.

I would guess that it is from the late 1960s, but I don't know when exactly it fits into the 858 production timeline.

I think if this Constellation had been made in Canada, the ratings plate would have referred to Hamilton, Ontario where our Canadian factory was located
- not North Canton, Ohio. The plate would have also shown our CSL logo - Canadian Standards Laboratory - our version of UL (Underwriters’ Laboratory).

I have that machine.

It is one of the more rare color combos. It was made in N. Canton. I have the specs for it at home.

Possible Color Matches/Theory

1. The Canadian Constellation Model 888 (first in 2-Tone with Taupe Light) in Light Avocado; marketed in the 1970s—posted by aeoliandave

My theory is that the 858 was painted to match the U4019 as part of a Promo set or store exclusive as I was unable to find any newspaper ads for the Model U4019.
