I have enjoyed reading the forums a lot over the last month or so, and check in almost daily. I do not collect vacuums, but I am still looking for a Nylint Kirby Semi Truck. We buy vacs by the Uhaul full, and usually toss the vintage vacs in the trash. This last summer my 16 year old daughter started selling some of that dumpster bound material and bought herself a very nice car (for a teenager). Now that she is back in school, I am finding I have an abundance of junk/collectibletreasure/waste....lol. Much of which I do not have the time or patience to list on eBay, and do not want to post on craigslist (dont want my local customers to see me selling junk). Keep in mind I am using the word "junk" lightly, and do not mean to offend anyone. Now that I have been reading many of your posts, I feel guilty throwing this stuff out, as I know that some of it is probably desirable and needed by some of you folks on the board. As it is there are tons (literally by weight!) of older vacuums that just are not cost effective to clean/list/sell. So to make a long story short, is it ok to post photos and offer these items as available on this board? (If not, maybe another category for sale/trades might be an option?)

Thanks in advance,
Lloyd

I am not a member of any note, but I would nonetheless absolutely love to see a marketplace section of this forum. I understand they may be working on that, but please do not assign any credibility to that statement as I am not sure if I read that or simply imagined it. I am personally interested in significant vacuums from the past and present. I have a Hoover Dual V because I love the concept of the multiple brush rolls spinning in opposing directions. I also have a Fantom Fury, one of the first "No Loss of Suction" vacuum cleaners. This stuff may not be old, rare, or highly sought after to most, but I like them and that's all the reason I need to have them. Plus their cheap, and that keeps the wife happy, at least I'm not collecting cars or expensive watches or whatever. I would love to see pictures here, but I think the man to ask is hoovercelebrity.

I would be interested in older HOOVER uprights as well as most any vacuum carring the Penncrest or JCPenney name

I am interested in the pre 500 series of kirby and also the vacuettes and scott & fetzer sanitation systems. if you come into any of those machines. please contact me.

Hey...

This person is really reputable.

I most recently purchased some Filter Queen attachments from him on Ebay. I ordered the wrong sized ones and he took them back and gave me a full refund without any trouble.

Trustworthy!

I'm interested in the old Viking uprights and canisters that were made by Electrolux Europe and imported. If you have any of those, let me know!

Guy
