I'm buying a new exhaust cap for my Compact C-9. The one I have is broken. I found one on amazon. It's description is "Genuine Compact/Tristar Exhaust Cap with Filter (black) for Ex-20", part number 70059. It sounds like the right part, but one reviewer said it was too small. Would this cap fit my machine?

Sweet you will not regret your compact c9 i have one and i put a new motor in my power head and a new brushroll wow what a difference those compact last a long time .
If you have other question about your compact let me know have a great day . Happy vacuuming

Thanks!

The brushroll has seen VERY little use. I put in a new pre-motor Hepa filter as well, along with an envirocare paper w/ cloth insert bag, so VERY little dust escapes this vacuum.

had one as a kid

We had a Anthony James vacuum, that has it turned out was a Tri Star, I remember it being a funky looking thing but it had great suction and power head. Kinda wish we still had it but we gave it away to a family friend after we got a Kirby I think and she moved to a new place.
Seems like it was about as good as the Royal Canisters I have now.
