I’m new to the vacuum restoring world, so I’m turning to the experts. I just purchased a Cadillac model 300 vacuum that I’ve been looking for after passing 1 up years ago. I have the vacuum but the hoses are long gone.
Is there a company out there that is selling vintage looking/repo hoses ? What are you guys using on your restoring projects?
Also any info facts on this vacuum/manufacture, does this vacuum have anything to do with car company?

I appreciate any info,suggestions, etc......

There are several vacuum marques that were in some way or other related to their car company counterparts, but Cadillac was NOT one of them. Even up until a few years ago, Clements Mfg. Co. loudly proclaimed that they had registered the Cadillac trademark first, before the car company. Clements existed until now but was just recently broken apart.

I have a couple of Cadillacs, I'm curious what kind you have. I don't think I've heard of a model 300 before. Upright? Canister? Cylinder? Handheld?

I was wondering myself about reproduction woven cloth covered hoses, I really don't think there are any. Which is strange.

I’ll try to post a couple pics later today. Since I’m new to the vacuum restore/collecting game. Is there a resale, parts market, etc...
I love this vacuum basically because it’s a Cadillac ( having nothing to do with car manufacturer or not )
I’ve always have had the cars so this is just something interesting to add to the collection. I haven’t seen to many around, are they a rare vacuum??

Prior to WW2, and maybe a bit after, Cadillac was a major contender in the vacuum cleaner market. Are they rare? Not really, when compared to their contemporaries. But yeah, you don't see them often, and they are often overlooked when everybody and their dog is drooling over vintage Hoovers and Kirby's. Good luck finding parts, that's going to be impossible. For mine, what few parts I've needed (bag, wheels, belt cover), I've simply had to fabricate them myself.
