Hello there , i own the very same vacuum cleaner that you have here ,
mine is blue tho .
Change the filter every 6 months follow the owners manual to the letter also
don't forget to use a paper bag follow that whit cloth bag the motor filter and the exhaust filter and your compact while run fine a long time . I also notice your hose is a aftermarket replacement be care full whit those compact vacuum cleaner the hose usually splits at the machine end but you wont have that problem if you store it whit the hose off the machine take care if you have any other question feel free to message me about it .

If you want a replacement pigtail cord for your TriStar, I would suggest contacting TriStar Canada & order a new cord directly from them. That cord is also ordinary & common enough that a local vac shop may have it or may be able to order it as well....no need to look on Ebay for a used cord & wind up paying the same price you would for a new one. I wouldn't suggest dealing with TriStar USA if you choose to deal directly with the company, another poster here "Danemodsandy" has said in posts years ago that the Canadian operation is easier to deal with & order from.

As for your aftermarket dome HEPA filter, I would change it every 6 months. That's what TriStar recommends for the original motor filter, & there really isn't a lot of HEPA filter paper in that filter.

Below is a link to TriStar Canada for you.

PS- Just so you know, that bag in your picture is NOT a TriStar bag. That bag will fit the Patriot/Airstorm canister, which is a copy of the TriStar. Not sure if it will work in your machine though.

thanks guys

i will call vac shop monday morning for cord, that bag does not fit mine they gave it to me with it.i put it in the box with the rest of my odd bags.thanks for info guys.

Shane, I have to wonder if perhaps the bag might fit if you tried trimming the cardboard collar a bit? Wouldn't hurt to try! Also, a little tip for you, the Envirocare TriStar micro-filtration bags tend to work better than the plain paper bags other generic suppliers & Tristar themselves offer, I have found the Envirocare bags tend not to clog as quickly.
