and it looks so much better with the handle broken off replaced with a bolted on leather strap and the exposed pushbutton swicth is so convenient. The scratches only enhance the patina, eh? That does look like an original 50 floor nozzle, tho, and O do want one of those...some other day, perhaps...

A couple hundred dollars in 1949???

What planet did he come from, im not sure of the exact price,but I do know in 49 no vacuum was that much , a model 30 E lux was 69.95,a Kirby wasn't even 200 00.
