Hey everyone. I have acquired a brand new in the original box an Electrolux Commemorative Edition. This machine has all the paperwork brochures sidekick, deluxe floor brush, crevice tool, duster brush. I acquired this from a long time career rep with Aerus formerly Electrolux. This is number 201 out of 1000 that were made for the sales Dept as a contest. This has never been used it’s been in the box and taken out to be shown at some trade shows. It has everything original including the hose which isn’t cracked or anything. I was going to keep it as a collectors item but I’d rather sell it or someone who would appreciate it more than myself. If there is anyone on here who would like to purchase this please reach out to me, before I put it up on Ebay. I’d like to get 13-1500 for it but anything reasonable will be considered. I will attach pictures. Please reach out to me at 585-267-6276

Go straight to eBay…

Collectors here are looking for a bargain. If you already have a dollar amount in mind, you’ll do better on eBay. You sorta “showed your hand” too soon by indicating what you wanted for it. Best of luck to you.

I am huge fan of old Electrolux vacuums. But my fandom ends at a fraction of that price. With that said, I'm not a collector, so what do I know.

Good luck!

I will give you credit, it actually really is in like new condition! A lot nicer than the last one that came up for sale on here that was all dented and rusted.

The time before the last time one came up for sale it was listed at $800 and closed with 0 bids.

Really wish there was a rarity guide/price guide for vintage vacuums - but a lot like old cars the conditions vary wildly, and they get thrown out a lot, so it's kind of hard to keep track of all these models.

The market isn't big...

I'm not a collector. So what do I know, right?

But as a non collector I can tell you the ONLY people who would pay a premium for that are other collectors, which in the case of vacuum cleaners probably numbers in the hundreds or single digit thousands.

Then you have to consider how many of those can afford to pay that price knowing the only hope of selling it is to another vacuum cleaner collector with enough money to pay for it is low.

As they say all you have to do is find that one buyer.

I don't see vacuum collectors growing in number. So we're talking at best a stable number, but more likely a shrinking number.

As someone who appreciates good engineering and things that are well made, the price I'd be willing to pay is a fraction of the ask.

Put it on eBay and see if you can find that one buyer.

PS: I'd love to see a manufacturer of braided hoses come on the scene. I know the sold plastic ones work well, but there is something about braided hoses I love.
