Hey everyone, last week I decided to treat myself to a new Numatic Henry Autosave.
I ordered it from John Lewis last week on the 30/12/13 so it took a few days to arrive, but never mind...Here are some pictures of "him".

Ratings sticker...

Giving you the weight of the machine as well! lol. MY 2008 Henry doesn't have that, lol.
This one was made in week 49 of 2013, however I am not sure to actually call it my "2013 Henry" or "2014 Henry" as I got it in the new year.

My Auntie's 2012 Eco Henry has that same plug :D

When you get a vac, you can sometimes see the hidden secrets in/on it. Examples are;
look behind an eco henry's bucket, it has marks specially for the park feature
it also has the clip holder things for the face!

Dyson DC04, well that has a blob of plastic under the filter/cyclone top where the filter wash indicator would be on the constant max, it is exactly there

And finally...

Here is an unboxing/demonstration video I made when it arrived today...well it's gone 12am so yesterday afternoon, oh, you know what I mean, lol.

Plug

The square plug was the Volex UK made plug. This has not been used on these cleaners for a good deal of years now. I assume it is all about cost.

Very nice Alex!  Congrats on your purchase!

That plug is odd, both my James and Bertie (purchased new this year, or last year I suppose, happy new year!) Have the square plug like you mentioned,  alyhough I have seen other Henrys with the triangle plug too.

It will all depend on who is charging what, and what flexes are used.

For instance, as a domestic model, the Henry and Hetty use a long 0.75mm lead which is hard-wired to the cleaner. These leads are quite likely to be purchased in bulk by Numatic, with the plugs ready fitted.

Other models use a 1.00mm flex which then terminates into a socket, the likes of which can be disconnected easily by the user. The moulded socker outlet is unique to Numatic and therefore they will have had to strike a deal with a manufacturer who could model that socket, and then have the 13amp in the style of what that manufacturer is offering.

Great video of the new Henry.

I must admit I was cringing when you decided to take the face off, you're a brave man risking it snapping! I'm so glad it didn't.

The park feature is a long overdue feature on these.

I too was cringing while trying to remove it. I kept debating whether to pull it harder or not and in the end I thought F**K it and just pulled it off. It is not something I will be doing on an on-going basis!!

Finally Alex you have something to give those carpets a really good deep clean, because deep down you know you need Henry. Henry, who better? Ok this joke is over (:

In all seriousness that is a very nice machine and I generally like numatic cleaners (who doesn't?). In fact I'm half considering getting a James for general use so I can keep my Henry looking nice.
