Guess what I got into the vac shop last week for a servicing??....a baby blue and cream Eureka canister from the fifties. It gets better. The lady who brought it in is the original owner!! She purchased the vacuum brand new in the 1950's from Woodwards Department store. I took it all apart and put a new hose on it, and gave it a really good clean up. I was curious to see how much it would pull on the inches of water reader. Well, any ideas as to what the number was?? A whopping 80!!!I was very impressed.I know that the customer is going to be very impressed when she comes to pick her vacuum up.That really made my day!

How neat. I bought quite a few things at the old Woodwards on E.Hastings years ago back in the early 70's. My sofa, my portable KA dishwasher, my first microwave oven, my 12" Transonic color tv and even my spinet organ. I loved that store. I bought my vacuum though at Sears LOL
