Can anyone share where I can source a rivet tool - I call it a blind rivet- similar to what Kirby used/uses to attach headlight cap trim and bumper trim? Thanks

Guessing you don't mean pop rivets. I have an old fashioned rivet gun but I can't find one like it. I found a tool that does what you are looking for I believe.
If that's not what your looking for try hand riveter.

I have seen several toy restoration videos of guys who restore BuddyL and Tonka vehicles and use a tool that resembles a C clamp.
Just type in Toy Restoration and look for that tool and the fasteners they use.
