In 1995, you might know Bissell launched the Plus, an upright vacuum that converts into a canister.

1996, Bissell got the Singer line of uprights, and launched them under the PowerPartner, Powergroom, Microlock, PureAir, and PowerClean names.

1999, Bissell launches the Prolite to compete with the Oreck.

2001, Bissell launched the Powerglide and lower-priced Powerforce.

2002, Bissell launched the Cleanview, when Dyson came to America.

FantomLightning, Vacuumfreeke, BaginTheBack, and Vacman117, what do you think of the Bissell uprights from the 1990's-early 2000's?

I'm not sure when Bissell made their first uprights. I thought they had acquired the Singer line of vacuums before 1996. I have a 1994 Montgomery Ward catalog that shows a Bissell style upright with the Singer name on it. This was around the time the Singer/Kenmore twin fan vacuums were discontinued, and Bissell did not support any parts from them.

I don't recall. Bissell launched the Cleanview in 2002 as their first bagless upright, when Dyson came to America.
