It seems like every time I turn on the tv, the bissell revolution informercial is on. I am in the market for a new steam cleaner. Has anyone tried this out, and what do you think. Any other suggestions.
Is there something I am missing? Looks like a current wave of carpet upright washers TTI have already launched. I dont see any steam cleaning with the videos online.
Bissell claims their Revolution is lightweight but the Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution with Antibacterial Formula, 1551 weighs 22.5 pounds shipping weight whilst the Hoover Power Scrub Deluxe Carpet Washer, FH50150 weighs 24.4 pounds. Not much of a difference there. Or for the fact that both will be heavier when filled with water.
Of course it's light weight. I will never buy Bissel again. They last 2 0r 3 years now, like my lift away steam mop.
Buy a Hoover spin scrub. preferably one of the older models. Plenty of new old stock around.
Bissel extractors have nearly no suction therefore leave carpet very wet. We owned one briefly when our 15-20 year old Hoover SpinScrub died and promptly returned it for another SpinScrub.
In Conclusion:
Get a Hoover Spinscrub, you wont be disapointed!
What do you guys think of this model. I've read a lot of the Hoover reviews, and it seems like they had a problem with them leaking. This rug Doctor looks pretty decent, and has good reviews.
Miskini, I am not familiar with that Rug Doctor. It is a different machine than the ones they sold at a higher price.
Richard, The usual failure with a Hoover spinscrub is a blocked air way screen to the turbine that turns the brushes.
Yes, at least on the older models, the brush is air driven. A simple repair to clean it out.
The Floormate has an electric brush motor.
P.S, did you notice my location neighbor?
Why not order it and try it out. They probably offer a 30 day return on it.
I also remember the two lane Hall road.
The Rivergate subdivision between Heydenreich and North avenue used to have an entrance easement before the first house.
Now M-59 is almost it's front lawn.
