Bissell model 3512-9

It's a Bissell from the late 90's or early 00's and it is kinda rare. It looks to be in good shape though. It was part of the competition of the Hoover Elite.

vacuum445, it is almost exactly like the singer you are speaking of. But this has a metal handle. But both are pretty identical. This surprisingly has an ametek motor in it, but it looks like a motor out of a eureka bravo, boss lite ect...

They also made these as hard body models. They were okay cleaners. I think out of all the competeing models of the time ( Eureka Brovo/worldvac, bissell/singer, Kenmore/panasonic Power Center, Dirt Devil Classic/Extra/Deluxe, & Hoover Elite ) the Hoover was prabably the best and Dirt Devil fell in second then Eureka.

this vacuum

was bissell's direct response to hoover's elite, made in the mid to late 1990's.i remember having one i got from the trash,my first rewired vacuum :).it's a shame my
mom threw it away after i took it apart to replace the fan :(. it looks like a singer because bissell eventually bought singer, ended one of my favorite brands :(.

looks like a singer

It is one but it has a different handle on it instead of the plastic handle. I am truly amazed at how many different brands copied the hoover elite! I am on a quest to get any hoover copy machine that is out there. Well most of them.

Singer

When I was in Kindergarten, the first grade classroom was next to us, and they had a black Singer version. I never knew if it worked or not, it was just kinda "there". I think it worked. It was probably old at the time, that was 2007!

Hoover Elite copy....

And they got sued for it too! Was a direct ripoff of the Hoover Elite....same bags, belts, etc. Even the brushroll looked similar! Except the bristles fell out easily & very hard to find replacements. Very cheaply made, poor quality plastic, fans shattered easily on these.

Hoover won the lawsuit & they were forced to pull the Bissell & Singer models from the market.
