Known as the “10 amp” bissell, it’s very rare and I made it complete, this is one of my rarest vacuums yet, and I plan to keep it forever, if anyone knows what fan fits this I must know and I’d be very thankful, tell me what you think, thanks my fellow collectors

They are quite screamers

Yes indeed they are quite loud but after a while you get used to it, in my opinion these look better than an elite, even though these were supposed to be the equivalent to a todays cheap bagless, or even bagged powerforce, i think the performance is quite up there with the elite but i think some of its lost due to the bristles on the roller being quite far apart. But, it cleans better than any other bissell made after 2005, mostly because of the direct air design. This vacuum is going to stay with me my whole life, just because of how rare it is. Especially how long it took me to find the original hose for this along with the other attachments, only one attachment isn't original but it has all its other attachments and kind of looks mint now, oh and the upper hose clip was busted like they are on nearly all of them, so i parted one out from a power partner, so 5 years this thing has seen with me and is practically brand new now. Sorry for my rambling on and on but when i got it, it was filth and no attachments at all, this photo is from 2015 when it still wasn't complete, i just think i should share its history and what ive done to it because of how rare this machine is and is one of the greatest bissells until they went down the toilet.

These were no where as good as the Elites, I've used some of these vacuums before and I even own one as well. In fact, these were copycats of the Elites and Hoover sued the maker of these vacuums (Royobi) for patent infringements.

I had one of these once before and have access to a few of them. The one I had I tossed. used it for a while to clean commercially and when the fan shattered and took the housing with it I tossed it. They aren't a bad machine but they sure are not an elite or even a soft bag Dirt Devil of the same era. I wouldn't necessarily call them rare because they tend to turn up here and there in thrift stores and yard sales from time to time but they are not as common as say an elite or a bravo.

Not really that uncommon

You’re right this was pretty much the equivalent of a cheap Walmart vacuum for it’s time. I’ve had two of these, one branded Bissell and one branded Singer. Bissell bought out the Singer vacuum division around 1996 ish and continued to make these low-end uprights until around 2000. They aren’t really collectible though. There’s just nothing about these that makes them unique. I can vouch that they definitely don’t clean as well as Elites, Bravos, or direct air DD’s and the motors don’t have as much airflow either. More power to you if you like the machine but I wouldn’t use something like that everyday they are very difficult to find parts for. Those machines are in great condition for their age they definitely wouldn’t have lasted that long as a daily driver.

thank you all

Yes i might have talked up the performance a bit much, but i dont think it is as good as an elite though, but it is also not bad. But its also good to hear that they are not uncommon, im going to be looking for more of these. Thanks

I like your Bissell. Others will disagree with my opinion, but I always found 1990’s vacuums with the bag in the front to be interesting. Yours seems to be in excellent condition, indeed.

Cream/white suction fans are usually made of nylon.

I have owned a similar Eureka Precision, a relabeled Bravo II, and currently own a Hoover Legacy II and C1403, both based on the Elite platform. Aside from the noise, I enjoyed the Precision.

Have fun using your Bissell!

Thank you very much broomvac

Thanks for having a positive outlook =D . I have an white elite and another bissell, sadly i don't have any eureka precision or bravo for that matter, i want one extremely bad, if i ever find one though, its coming home with me instantly. Especially with the burgundy, yours looks breath taking. Same with your elites, very good condition. The soft bag models with the bags on the front are interesting indeed and one of my favorites, its kinda like a beefy power head with a fan and bag attached to it! light, easy to work on, and they look good too! Enjoy your precision and elites broomvac, because i know ill be enjoying my bissell! Good day !

Every now and then

I see a model like yours put out on the curb or what not.I would be happy to bring it home if it looks to be in decent shape and check with you to see if you can use anything on it, say the fan or outer bag etc. Glad to help! Bill

Thanks bill !

Thank you ! yes, in fact i could use a fan and maybe an outer bag, what would the price be for all that bud ?

I had no idea there were rare :( I seen one at Restore on 8/5/2017 and left it.

By the way, this vacuum came out in 2000 and sold for $42.88.
