Bison Search!!

ok guys, i know im new here, but let me give you a little info. The lady who runs our local vacuum repair shop happens to be the daughter of THE KIRBY SALESMAN WHO LEFT TO CREATE THE BISON VAC!! is that not the most awesome thing ever? Well, long story short, Melinda is a great lady, and has been the sweetest thing on earth to me when it comes to my mild obsession with vacs, especially the older ones. However, she is missing something she desperately wants as a fixture in her store. A working or repairable bison. Sad to say, daughter of the founder and designer of the bison does not own one in decent or even repairable shape. She has one, which she purchased from a semi-local woman after it broke down, but im fairly sure its past repair from what she has said, and it has none of the accessories. If anyone can help me out, I would love to suprise her with a working Bison with the accessories. I can promise, it will not be a sale vacuum, simply a peice of history on display with her other classic vacs in the store window. (She currently displays one of the earliest model rexaires, and i recently located a nice constellation for her as well). So let me know if any of you guys have one you are willing to part with please please...

Bisons are harder to find than Osama bin Laden....LOL

I would check eBay and craigslist.

i know, lol.. Ive been watching Ebay, but as of late all I've come across is a couple of the attachments, and no picture in the ad. I know they are extremely rare, but i would love to find one for her. also im gonna try to get the whole, "bison story" from her and post it here.

I have two bisons. I have a Mark II that needs some work, and a Model 1000 that needs work as well. I would consider parting one of them if I could trade it for another vacuum?

awesome! what sort of trade did u have in mind, and is there any way u could post a pic or some info about the 2? (im not very familiar with the diferent bison models)
