bison

oh yes i do ! several years ago i had the green monster bison as i called it & i wish i had kept it. so much like a kirby but yet different. there was one on ebay recently just like my centurion II. not a bad price either. hope to find another green one sometime in the future.

Oh great!

Sorry for questioning you-I could imagine people taking someone else's picture and calling it theirs, It happens all the time on ebay! I could esp. Imagine it happening over something as rare as this!

Would you mind taking more photos of it? not many things are known about the Bison. such as the fan setup, geared brush-roll setup, bag, etc?

well i do not kid or lie about any of my vacuums & you asking does not make me upset in the least.fakers are everywhere but i'm not one of them. i will post some pics.on 3-25-2104 of the bison & i hope you like them. they are quite unique & mysterious in some ways.thanks for your interest.

thanks!

The pictures are appreciated,I'm glad to see you as a honest person, such a quality is not as common in people as in yesteryear. The Bison is a cleaner many lust for, one of over-complicated mystery. It was such an excellent cleaner, but one plagued with failure, especially in the earlier green models.the green models were even known to break-down during an in-home demonstration!

Bison was a company created by a former Kirby worker, would believed he could create a better vacuum.in some ways he did, as I said above, these cleaners were excellent at deep-down cleaners.

The Bison was changed just enough so that no Kirby patents were violated, such as the "empty-o-matic" on the bottom of the bag opens from the side.

oh you're the old school one?

I still play records, use a typewriter for my word processing needs, and my dream car is a 1961 DeSoto!

Can you tell me, is the nozzle supposed to have some play between it and the base/motor? I just got one and took the nozzle off to inspect everything and when I put it back on it had what I would justify as considerable play at the cheap locking ring holding the nozzle to the motor, and I can't recall what it was like before I took it off.
