Ok guys, I need to thin this collection down to a reasonable size,With Mike Hays collection I have around 700 or maybe more machines, I haven't counted, many many very rare vintage machines as well as blenders and mixers will be up for sale, due to the volume I will not ship, hopefully I will get input on what Month and day will be best, These will be REASONABLE, very few machines will be over 15 or 20 dollars,I will have everything sorted and together that will be for sale and you will be welcome to see what I'm keeping also, if anyone is interested in coming by before then, please let me know, I just want to get my building and basement manageable..Hans

I'm in the Triad area also. It'll definitely be worth the short drive to see that hoard. I'll try to be good when it comes to taking stuff home, though.

Sounds like Heaven!

I would love to come see as well and purchase a few things. Will Clay Floyd happen to be a part of this? I would love to see him and meet you as well. Your not a far drive from Lenoir... let me know!

Hi Peyton

We went to see clay last month, he is in a rehab facility, his health is really not good, hopefully he will be home soon, but I'm about sure he wont be able to travel.

Amazing......

collection. My ex and I (long, twisted story) are buying a house together so I can finally get out of this rental shoe box and raise my three yr old grandson properly. She's already on me about my junk. I'm not getting rid of anything....in fact I will increase collecting at some point...lol.

Wish I was closer! I bet you have tons of Electrolux and Hoover Connies?

I've had the priviledge

Of seeing the upright collection that Hans will be getting rid of. There are items from all eras of the 1900's. Very few things from after 2000. A Sanyo Transformax bagless is about the only thing newer than 2000. Many amazing uprights from the 1980's as well as a lot of machines from the 1950's. Good number of Eureka and private labeled Eureka too. The coffee can Hoovers are very nice, the 541 is stunning. We plugged it in, and it just sang. A little dust escaped the cloth bag and Donnie said "it's smoking", which gave Hans and I a good laugh as we knew it was fine dust. One machine I didn't take when I was there, that I KNOW someone is going to want badly, is a self-propelled Eureka (blue) in perfect shape, that lights up the top of the machine when On. There's a Fantom Thunder in amazing shape, as well as the god-awful Scamway bagless thing they copied from Dyson. It's an amazing collection that is definitely worth seeing.

As to the Canister/Tanks - I still can't believe the very rare machines in that collection. I'm glad Hans is keeping most of those.

I jusy want

The vacs and mixers thinned down to a point to where I can get around in my garage and basement,I cant even get to my workbench its so cluttered now!
