Handvac

The shark lv800 is the best hand vac. I'll attach a picture. I have the riccar squire and about 15 other handvacs. This is the best handvac for the price. The Riccar price runs over $100 and there awesome.

Lux from Switzerland

I’d consider the Lux S115 from Lux of Switzerland....here in the United States our Aerus which was formerly Electrolux has partnered with them to make the top of the line Aerus machine and it is basically the same unit but with different hose and attachments and instead of a white body, the Aerus version is black. Outstanding filtration for allergies. It is a canister so super versatile and has all sort of really good filtration to deal with the allergy problems you mention, dirt entrapment on these bagged machines is excellent as well. They may be pricey but well worth the product price and will last a long long time. Hopefully the power it works with is the same as what you have there.

I think far superior to the Miele.

I’ve posted a link to the product. If it won’t work try copying and pasting:

If you’re looking for something that works well in professional spaces but can also handle regular home employ, the Comac CUV-18 is worth a look. It’s a solid upright vacuum built for durability and consistent performance, not just light cleaning. It may be designed for commercial environments, but it’s also a superb fit for larger homes or anyone who wants a reliable, no-nonsense machine that cleans well and lasts..

No. They are much too fragile. The lower body and lower bag chamber are exceptionally thin and fractures much too easily. They do not have the same high quality that earlier Lux vacuums had.

Electrolux AB of Sweden sold their interest in Lux International circa 1998, splitting the company with the Asia Pacific side being sold to Vorwerk and the European side sold to some Swiss Investors. Vorwerk briefly sold D820s in their regions then started to sell their own vacuums with Lux branding in the Asia Pacific region while in Europe they soldiered on with Swedish made Lux D820 until 2010-2011. It was around this time that the Swiss investors sold the European side of Lux International to Eureka Forbes of India. Electrolux AB ceased supplying vacuums to Lux International. Eureka Forbes commissioned a German electrical engineer and a German designer, neither of whom had ever designed a vacuum cleaner, to design what was originally called the Lux D920 ( blue body skins ) but sold also as the Lux AC11 Intelligence Classic ( most basic model ) and Lux AP 11 Intelligence Premium ( Lux PB-1 power nozzle and Bluetooth controls on the hose handle ) in bare metal finish with black trim. The S115 Intelligence with white plastic trim was a Jubilee edition to celebrate a Lux anniversary.

Aerus didn't collaborate on the Intelligence. They are made by Kolektor of Slovenia ( though I have read variously they are made in Switzerland or maybe the Czech Republic depending on who is telling the story ) and sold to whomever is willing to pay. Eureka Forbes sells them in India as the Eureka Forbes Euroclean Xtreme. Aerus takes the AC-11 Intelligence Classic in 120 volt form, puts their US style hose, wands and power nozzle on it and calls it the Guardian Platinum. Aerus later had to accept the white plastic as that was all Kolektor is making. You cannot even buy the black plastic parts any more, out of production. Godfrey's of Australia and New Zealand took the AP-11 Intelligence Premium and sold them as either the Sauber Intelligence ( silver skins with black plastic and Lux PB-1 power nozzle ) or Sauber Excellence ( gold anodized !!!!! with black plastic and a Sebo ET-11 power nozzle ).

I would strongly advise against the Aerus Guardian Platinum, Lux S115, Sauber Excellence or Sauber Intelligence as they are all the same, low quality and fragile machine.

About that Comac, is it available outside of India? How much does it cost? How many hours is the motor rated for, if you know that is? I have never heard of Comac before so I am unsure of quality or availability.

Yep, that one sent me on an internet search. I looked at the ebay sites for Germany and Italy searching for the Comac CUV18 and came up with nothing. Usually if a commercial vacuum is being sold in the EU examples will turn up on ebay. I did find Italian and Romanian web sites for Comac and the company appears to make all kinds of commercial vacuums, floor scrubbers and the like.
