direct air vacuum

i guess a direct air vacuum would make more sense since there is more airflow? correct? Kirby has always had a good reputation, havent tried the all metal royals? Kinda wanting something lightweight, and hear the kirbys are awesome but heavy and cumbersome for the attachments. Dont wanna mess with the Simplicity Synergy or Riccar Brilliace.. hear alot of negative reviews on them and they're so expensive too. How about the Simplicity Symmetries or Simplicity 7850??

The metal Royals are a lot lighter than a Kirby, and they'll last just as long with good maintenance. Their attachments are more cumbersome, in my opinion (the belt lifting is manual, foo.)

The Simplicity Symmetry/Riccar Vibrance are good machines, but the auto pile height adjustment is probably suboptimal on frieze carpets. Maybe look into a Sanitaire?

Royal SR30020!! Excellent power head. Chevron brush roll, very powerful. The included attachments aren't very good but since the hose is a standard fit, most any slide on tools will fit. The power head is what's great on here!! Extremely comfortable handle.

I thought the title of this thread is BEST CANISTER vacuum with powernozzle-I love my Kirbys and Royals too,but they asked about CANISTER vacuums-so for me it would be----My NSS M1 Pig with its powernozzle!--or paired with a Kirby using it as a "powernozzle".Terms of life-NSS Pigs are the longest lived vacuums out there--some have been running for almost half century with nothing more than a motor brush replacement every 2500 hrs.Don't think ANY other canister would add up to that!Maybe a Nilfisk?

Stricklybojack....

Thanks for posting the above photo of the Black Wesselworks(labelled Nilfisk)
Powerhead .
That is the exact Powerhead I would team up with a Filterqueen!

What a power house they both would be together .
