Beldray "Tri-Cyclonic" Vacuum Cleaner

I saw this today in "The Original Factory Shop". Cost £70.

Beldray were once known for their ironing board covers.

Seems to be another variant of the standard Dyson Root Cyclone design.

The online blurb says "1800 Watts". The Point of Sale box said "2000 Watts".

I wonder how well it works?

The spec info is a bit sparse.

1800 watts?????  That's crazy!  Is it a vacuum or any oven?

i think the cleaner maker claims the 1800W because it can be run from 220v instead of 120V.

It's not at all uncommon for 220v European cleaners to be rated up to 2200w. I've seen as high as 2500w. New EU legislation is set to put a limit on this high energy consumption.

I suspected the higher wattage was due to the voltage difference.  I rarely if ever ran my Miele s312i at more than about medium power.  Any more than that was overkill.  I REALLY miss that machine.
