I'm curious to know if any VL contributor has tested the airflow/air watt impact of bag cover or jacket sizes and/or has any other knowledge about the variances?

I am most familiar with Hoover (Convertibles) and Eureka (F & Gs) touting the sizes in their newspaper ads by quarts and cubic inches, respectively. It appears that Kirby's G Series may have had larger ones than the Classic series, as well, but I'm unfamiliar with those measurements. To my knowledge, Aerus Electrolux's L-shape nozzle bag casings have all been the same or similar sizes (e.g. Lux 4000/Lux 6000 versus Lux Legacy/Lux Guardian).

Hoover sizes I've seen identified are: 9-quart (519.75 cu. in.) for standard models and 13 1/2- (779.6 cu. in.) or 15-quart (866.25 cu. in.) for higher-end models.

Eureka findings have revealed 560 (9.7-quarts) for its basic model-types and 660 (11.4-quarts), and 906 (15.7-quarts, box top) cubic inch bag covers for its more expensive model-types.
