Baby dyson dc26

Here is my dc26 


While i do like the look of it I do feel it is more of a advertising exersise by dyson showing off how clever they can be. I do not know of any appartment that this vacuum could be usfull in not here in SA anyway hence we do not bring it in.


 


Interestingly enough it had the same vac motor that is used in the dc22 , dc15& dc25

I have been reading about these Dyson City cleaners. James Dyson requested that his design team came up with a cleaner which is capable of being small enough to sit on a sheet of A4 paper. Apparently the Japanese have fallen in love with this cleaner. I don't think it sells well here, possibly because the current selling price in Great Britain is ridiculous. The full-size cleaners are a lot cheaper and raises the question as to why one would want a tiny cleaner over a cheaper, larger machine. Unless of course storage space really is the driving factor.

you know what its great for , dusting , especially if its up high on a ladder, its also nice for keeping the car clean

I am sure it is, in fact I did think that myself. But at £270 no one seems to be buying it over here...well, that is what I have been told.

I wanted one for a while, but when I learned that it had a turbo nozzle instead of a real power nozzle that kind of killed the desire...

Is that the round-a-bout way of confirming you have the motorized Power Nozzle?


 


The Canadian version has the Turbo Nozzle but I believe the USA version comes with the Power Nozzle, which would seem to be a no-brainer bonus for this cute little machine. Considering that the Canadian version lists for $100 more than the USA version.

Oh wait...sorry Gareth...now I recall why I did not buy the CITY when I was traveling in the USA last winter. (I snagged a barely used Hoover Multi in Minneapolis for $25 to assuage my disappointment - excellent motorized powerhead)


 


Canadian Dyson Citys have the passive floor tool and the USA has the air-powered Turbohead.


This sweet little machine does not have the Power Nozzle option at all, anywhere.


I get it confused with the rechargeable handheld that DOES have a Powerhead and makes it a very attractive proposition...if the battery run-time was improved.


 


I have a hard time accepting that the Powerhead option is not made available through a power hose add-on for the CITY...Dyson would sell a lot more if only...

Hi Dave , this one has a straight suction nozzle


 


I have the dc35 aswell with the motor driven power nozzle which is great. Now that machine is a wonderful help around my home

If I lived in a small apartment...

It would be a DC24 or DC35 for me. If the hose stored round the body of the DC26 like the Stowaway, it would take up less space - but, I like the feel of an upright. Makes you feel you have more power!

 I got it just for show purposes , it attracts attention. I would take a dc24 or 22 over this in real life
