Hi everybody, I’m REALLY excited today because I just got back from the Salvation Army coming home with a couple of vacuum favorites y’all know about. First I saw a green Kenmore Whispertone Power Path that appears an older model from the mid 90’s I’ll say. But suddenly I even saw something more exciting! A Hoover Dial a Matic Power Drive from the mid/late 70’s! I went like crazy when I saw this in great used shape. I plugged it in for testing and check to see if there was a bag and there was and it worked amazing! The suction was fantastic and it sounds like normal, everything works! It originally cost $39.99 but I was the store manager to lower it for $30, but he lowered it for $19.99! A steal!!! And I decided to test the Kenmore too, so I plugged it in and it works great too! Suction was strong as well. All it needs was a new bag and ready for take off! This really made my day! Enjoy!

Gabriel,

That Dial-A-Matic you just got... that's one of the very last ones Hoover ever made for the domestic (USA/Canada) market! It was replaced during 1978 by the Concept One, which in 1983 spawned the similar Concept Two (which also had an on-board Help-Mate hand vacuum).
