What would you estimate the average production number to be of vintage models of your favorite brand using its series and numbering (serial numbers)?

Using Electrolux Corporation's, I'd guess there to be between 5 & 8 2-letter series for each model id; so supposing each series had a run of 99,999 (there have been 5 digits in the pattern since the 1930s) would suggest between 500,000 & 750,000.

Funny you should ask that!

I just happen to have my personal notes right here.
Let's see about some numbers.
The infamous 1076 Convertible yielded 263,000
the 1020 made 800,000
our 1070 made 600,000
But, the famous Spiegle 707 (blue) was only made for 9 days. The Delft Blue 719 was VERY popular. You may have seen photos of several of mine, shown on beautiful Karastan (both red and white).
So, as you see, Hoover didn't mess around.
Note: These figures are correct and accurate., as, the came right out of the Hoover documentation.
I hope this info helps you.
