Congrats on the new find Brad. Hope you enjoy it.
Please let me know what you think, I've never used a Rainbow before.

Will you be posting a youtoube video of it?

Sam

P.S. I would like to talk to you sometime

Very cool Brad! Looks like that old man is in good shape too!
Even tho the Rainbow has its limitations as a vacuum cleaner,,and we all know about door to door sales,,i have to admit, the Rainbow demonstration is so convicing, you feel like you absolutely cant live without one! At least it used to be,,evidently why so many Rainbows are out there! After seeing the demo as a kid, i was totally convienced that a Rainbow was THE only kind of vacuum to have, as it really did all the things that the demo says. Except for what the salesman DOESENT tell you! (come to find out

Funny story:
Kirby sales taught us how to easily "KILL" a Rainbow. (If the customer had one),,just sprinkle half a bottle of talcum powder over a small area of the carpet,,put the exact amount of water in the pan,,start up the Rainbow, and vacuum up the powder with the PN attached. Of course, Every last speck of that powder would fly right out of the Rainbow's exhaust! (the customer would usually be HORRIFIED!)
Thats the Rainbow's main limitation, at least all the D,SE series machines, and earlier,,the Rainbow's water bath cant hold on to anything that is impervious to the wetting action of water.
Talcum powder, drywalldust, ash, ect wont wet in water very easily,,so flys right out the exhaust of the Rainbow.

So then is when you whip out your brand new Kirby!
Or in other words, get RID of that MUD PUMPER Lady, and watch what this Kirby Heritage can do!! haha,,thats what our Kirby distributor/owner always called them - Mud Pumpers!

Selling for Kirby back then was fun,, of course this was when they still had a good reputation!
