I received a E-mail from a member that cillects older vacuums
I myself would like more info on that unit I posted in there
a while back. I know it was well made with a Roots type blower like used on Detroit Diesels & drag racer engines

I'm curious; do cleaners with a pump-type motor create a continous flow of air, like a fan, or do they create more of a pulse-airflow?
 
Interesting machine - I've come across a couple of ads for it but thats as far as my knowledge of it goes. This is the 1914 ad. It even gives the price as $150 - a huge sum in those days.

Its nice to see the info on the Arcowand on parunner58 site.
The pump type are little pulsy especially without skewed rotors. The screw type of pump (rotors resemble a pencil sharpener`s cutters)is a smooth flowing pump
Our shop rents a aircompressor with this type of pump made by Ingersoll Rand.
