I need to downsize and am hoping that someone here would be able and willing to care for these Apex vacuums as they deserve. My understanding is that Apexes don't come around very often!
The first is an Apex upright, model 600, dating from around 1948 (I believe). The bag is original, as far as I know. The motor runs well although it sounds like the bearings need work. I have not done anything beyond replacing the belt, since the original one had been badly stretched to the point where the brush roll wouldn't turn. I did need to have the plug replaced as well, but it is a black rubbery vintage style that coordinates well with the rest of the machine. Overall, this is a very solid, imposing, and powerful vacuum.
The second is an Apex hand vac. I'm not sure of the year or model number. It's a cute little thing with what appears to be the original bag.
I'll be glad to take more pictures if there's anything else you'd like to see.
Prices: $150 for the upright alone; $35 for the hand vac alone; or $175 for both. Shipping would be extra, as the upright is VERY heavy!
