Howdy Folk! Just signed up here, love the site. I'm not only a fan of Electrolux, but now sell and repair them for Airus Electrolux! Got a Ap 280 for free (not including shipping costs). It's mostly just the canister without the motor as the armature is shot. If anyones interested email me and we'll discuss further.

Hi there! I'm also a new member, and lover of the Electrolux, particularly the AP280. I have an original from 1981 and it's wonderful. All original, except for the cloth hose. Been re-built and cleaned and tuned up of course.
My first vac was an AP280 purchased in 1981. I had that vac for about 18 years and foolishly traded it in on a new Lux 6500SR when I started having problems with the power nozzle cutting in and out depending on how the hose was moved. At that time I didn't know that a new hose was all I needed to solve the problem.
