Anyone happen to know around what year this Eureka was made? There's no date tag on the bottom of it like most Eurekas usually have...$2 garage sale purchase today...

If you could take a picture of the rating plate on the bottom of the motor head, I might get some clues. From the looks of it, the time frame would be anywhere from 1976-1983.

Actully,

Since it is a 1410 A, it is from about 1975. It part of the first line of new plastic based, blender mtors offered by Eureka.

Thanks for the pic of the ratings plate. This is a very unique pale yellow colour for Eureka, which makes me think it was a special model produced for K-Mart - the store often had these special editions in the 1970's.

The date seems to be narrowing to around 1977 or 1978. In the early 1980's, these Eurekas had a two piece handle made of plastic and connected by plastic snap-in bolts. Your 1410 has the metal bolts from the 1970's. The other dating hint is the plastic Eureka logo plate glued onto the vinyl dust bag. I don't think we saw this kind of "glued-on" bag label until the late 1970's. I'm pretty sure Eureka upright bags did not have these labels in 1975 or 1976 - the Eureka logo in those years was printed right on the vinyl bag.

And it is more like 1975

'77 or 78 would have been way too late. There were logos patched on the bags in the earlier days too. I have several ranging from 1973-1976 that are like that. Not to mention since it is a 1410, that was still early in the 1400series. The model numbers were pretty much numerical. Maybe if he would post pics of the brush roll end caps, then that would be a deffent age marker. The very early 1st of the plastic based machines still had the square end caped brush roller. Then in 1976 they finally changed to the hex end, end caps.

Mine is the ESP & the handle is all metal. They do have a nice low growl,
I used to use it when I cleaned apts & mine uses the cheap easy to find F&G bag.
